Restaurant Bookkeeping

Keep your restaurant books clean — month after month.

Restaurant bookkeeping is more than categorizing bank transactions.

Sales can flow through your POS, credit card processors, cash, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and other platforms. Payroll, tips, sales tax, refunds, and processing fees can make the amount deposited to the bank very different from the sales shown in your POS. We help organize that activity and keep the books reconciled throughout the year.

Monthly Bookkeeping

What we can handle each month.

Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation

We reconcile operating accounts and business credit cards to the actual statements and investigate differences instead of allowing unreconciled balances to accumulate.

POS & Merchant Deposit Review

A $5,000 day of restaurant sales does not necessarily mean $5,000 reaches the bank. We review deposits with processing fees, refunds, tips, sales tax, timing differences, and other deductions in mind so deposits are not simply treated as sales.

DoorDash, Uber Eats & Other Platforms

Delivery platforms often deposit a net amount after commissions, service fees, refunds, and adjustments. We help separate gross activity, platform fees, adjustments, and the actual bank deposit so the books make sense.

Payroll Bookkeeping

Payroll withdrawals can include wages, employer taxes, employee withholdings, and other liabilities. We review how payroll activity is reflected in the books and look for unusual payroll-related balances.

Sales Tax Reconciliation

We review sales activity and sales-tax-related balances to help keep the books consistent with amounts reported on sales tax returns.

Restaurant Expense Review

We keep categories consistent for food and beverage purchases, supplies, merchant fees, rent, utilities, repairs, delivery fees, insurance, payroll, and equipment purchases.

Month-End Result

Financial statements you can actually use.

At month-end, your books should make it easier to understand what happened in the business — not create another list of questions.

  • Restaurant sales
  • Food and operating costs
  • Payroll expense
  • Merchant and delivery fees
  • Major overhead expenses
  • Monthly profit or loss
  • Cash and credit card balances
  • Tax-ready year-end books
